Billing & Revenue Management SIG

The Billing & Revenue Management Special Interest Group (SIG) brings together service providers from around the world to discuss ideas, plans and issues related to successfully managing and carrying-out revenue-management strategies. Revenue management covers all the activities that enable, manage and track sources of revenue through any channel-from service consumption to cash in hand.

Core topic areas for the B&RM SIG include:

Realizing the Full Value of Billing Systems and Processes

  • How can innovative uses of billing positively impact the attractiveness and success of new service offerings?
  • As strategies focus more on service convergence and in response to changing market dynamics, which BSS alignment options are best in the short and long term?
  • What do service providers need to know in order to fully benefit from IMS? Firstly, that it's more than just a network issue...

Managing partnerships

With the number of business partners growing and diversifying (MVNOs, media outlets and content providers are a few examples):

  • How can service providers make sure that they are managing the complex revenue chain efficiently enough?
  • What are the new requirements for settlement facilities between partners in the telecom industry?

Maximizing the Value of Customer Usage Data

  • Are service providers doing enough to capitalize on the potential of customer usage data that they are storing and managing within their systems?
  • Using this data properly can have a real positive impact on customer service and can even drive new service revenues; how can a converged mediation system turn this into a reality?

The B&RM SIG is targeted at IT & marketing professionals, as well as at decision makers within the existing Amdocs user community.
