ST. LOUIS, MO and MEXICO CITY, Mexico - July 6, 2006 - Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of software and services to enable integrated customer management and the intentional customer experience TM, and Anuncios en Directorios S.A. de C.V. (ADSA), the directory publishing subsidiary of Teléfonos de México S.A. de C.V. (TELMEX), today announced that ADSA chose Amdocs to deliver software and associated services to update ADSA’s online yellow pages directories to ensure a better customer experience to consumers and better business value to advertisers. Amdocs will be the prime systems integrator to replace ADSA’s online search engine software using ApproxiMatch online search engine as a key component of this initiative, and will also provide maintenance services to support the implementation under a six-year contract.
“Amdocs is already providing us with a centralized, customer-centric online infrastructure that addresses all aspects of the directory publishing process – including online yellow pages -- and helps us offer a unique and intentional experience to our customers,” said Benjamin Podoswa Schwaycer, chief executive officer at ADSA. “With Amdocs’ leadership in directory publishing solutions, coupled with the cutting-edge, sophisticated ApproxiMatch software, we are setting the stage for another successful deployment that will help us deliver an improved search experience to consumers, drive higher value for our advertisers and grow our revenues further.”
“As directory publishers shift focus to the Internet, the experience they create for local advertisers and consumers becomes the key differentiator,” said Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer at Amdocs. “Amdocs provides an end-to-end solution to print and electronic directory publishers around the world. Working with select partners such as ApproxiMatch, we can extend the capabilities of the solution to deliver significant business benefits. For example, this particular solution will return comprehensive, relevant and rapid results even when the search query is loosely phrased. As a result, visitors are more likely to accept the search recommendations and return to a Web site, while advertisers benefit from a higher click-through rate and better visibility into consumer behavior. This approach positions Amdocs to help publishers stay ahead of the market and innovate in order to drive consumer satisfaction and loyalty.”
