ST. LOUIS, Mo. and BRUSSELS, Belgium - February 7, 2008 - Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and Effortel SA, a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE), today announced that Effortel has deployed the Amdocs Compact Convergence suite to help one of the world's largest retailers offer mobile phone service in Belgium. Effortel is working with the worldwide retailer as a part of a plan to offer low-cost mobile service in multiple markets worldwide.
Amdocs Compact Convergence offers Effortel the operational flexibility and agility needed to efficiently and cost-effectively create, deliver and manage new value-added services. This network-connected service creation and delivery solution has pre-integrated convergent real-time charging and a complete set of business support systems to fully support each of Effortel's Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) customer sites worldwide with a single deployment. As a result, Effortel can achieve its business objectives, and minimize capital and operational costs with a low cost of ownership across multiple locations.
"Amdocs service enablement solution enables Effortel to offer flexibility in tariff management, providing customers with the ability to launch promotional campaigns and new services in a matter of days, not months," said Maarten Boute, chief operating officer and chief technology officer of Effortel. "As we enable our MVNO customers to expand in new markets, we value the Amdocs Compact Convergence suite because it not only helps us operate more efficiently and cost-effectively, but it is designed to help us better meet our customers' competitive goals to offer low-cost mobile phone service."
"As service providers look for every opportunity to improve operational efficiency, Amdocs solutions deliver the flexibility to enable rapid creation and delivery of new services while maintaining the customer experience," said Charles Born, vice president of corporate communications for Amdocs.
