Amdocs Hosts Global InTouch Business Forum for Customers and Partners
Executives from service providers worldwide attend two-day gathering devoted to real-world strategies that drive growth and achieve leadership in the connected world

June 10, 2010: Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, held its Global InTouch Business Forum 2010 at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus. More than 200 senior executives from service providers around the globe attended the event devoted to discussing strategies to better leverage assets, lower costs, and drive growth to do more in the connected world – the emerging era in which trillions of devices, most of them not phones, will be connected to the network.

Several key areas discussed included: The evolving role of the service provider in a connected world value chain, leveraging data and system assets for future growth, and managing the customer experience in the era of digital services. In addition, presentations focused on opportunities for service providers in an always-on, high-bandwidth future such as convergent services, connected devices and new data services. Guest speakers included executives from service providers who presented their vision of the connected world and the requirements needed to ensure success. Among the many breakout sessions, Iain Morris of the Economist Intelligence Unit outlined the results of the EIU’s recent report “Fighting Smart, Strategy options for Telecoms Operators.” The report outlines five potential business models for service providers -- Smart Pipe, Efficient Pipe, Pricing Pioneer, Defender of the Realm, and Transformer – to consider in the connected world.

“The reason we come to Amdocs InTouch is because it’s such a good opportunity to get information, ideas and solutions to challenges and problems our business faces,” said Carlos Moreno, chief information officer of ONO, Spain’s leading broadband, cable and service provider. “In many ways, InTouch is unique. I get to meet with other CIOs to find out how they are dealing with the same challenges we have. You can benchmark what you know with others in the same role.”
“Amdocs continues to enhance its CES 8 product portfolio through customer feedback, incorporated operational best practices, and home-grown or acquired new technologies,” said Larry Goldman of analyst firm Analysys Mason. “The company’s InTouch Business Forum offers customers an ideal venue to discover and discuss new and forthcoming offerings, and share ideas and best practices with industry peers.”
Amdocs also highlighted several announcements: a five-year managed services agreement with Vonage; its winning the TM Forum’s Industry Leadership Award, and its ranking in the global top 20 list of best outsourcing service providers by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals®.
