A STRATEGIC INVESTMENT PROGRAM THAT KEEPS US AND OUR CUSTOMERS AHEAD OF THE TECHNOLOGY CURVE
 Amdocs Venture is an Amdocs investment program that identifies, executes and manages strategic investments in early and growth-stage technology companies. Amdocs Venture will make minority investments in these companies and will co-invest with leading worldwide investors and corporate investment programs. The program does not function as a corporate VC fund with pre-allocated funding—instead, it’s an investment program which strategically invests on a per-opportunity basis.
Selective and strategic investments in start-ups like these help us to keep ahead of the technology curve, gain visibility into emerging market trends, and be in a position to quickly act upon new business opportunities. We can then share these benefits with our customer base.
What does the program offer start-ups?
Amdocs Venture portfolio companies will be able to leverage Amdocs’ brand, market-leading position and global reach, as well as our business, technology, sales and delivery expertise, in order to build their market value.
How do our minority investments fit into the Amdocs portfolio?
Our goal is to offer joint solutions together with the companies we invest in, so these investments should link strongly to our current offerings and product roadmap, and meet the needs of service providers worldwide.
What are the investment criteria?
We typically evaluate companies that are already successfully collaborating in the peer Amdocs Open Innovation programs: Engage! and Ascend! We are interested in investing in companies that already have initial revenues and a sustainable advantage in an attractive growing segment. We have no geographical or industry investment restrictions or preferences.
What’s the process?
For each investment opportunity, we will identify the relevant Amdocs business unit and executive sponsor that will actively participate in the evaluation process and co-present the opportunity to Amdocs Venture’s investment committee.
Amdocs Venture Portfolio Companies:
- Amobee Media Systems offers a carrier-grade, mobile ad-serving platform which enables mobile service providers to dynamically insert advertising in all forms of mobile communication and content—from WAP browsing, video, music, SMS, MMS, to applications and games.
- Pontis offers an integrated marketing system which defines, executes and analyzes targeted marketing offers. This enables mobile, cable, IPTV and fixed-line carriers to increase revenues and customer loyalty by targeting subscribers with personalized offers based on their profiles, preferences and real-time behaviour.
- Trivnet provides mobile service providers with transaction management capabilities for secure mobile financial services, such as the ability to pay for goods and services via the mobile phone. Earlier this year, Amdocs announced a unique, market-leading joint solution with Trivnet called Amdocs Mobile Money which enables service providers to support payments or banking process delivered over the mobile phone, in real time, and across borders and networks.
