A new Amdocs survey identified 10 critical strategies that service providers should adopt to offer users a better data experience and increase monetization of 3G, Wi-Fi and 4G/ LTE services. Interviews with 150 smartphone users across 18 nations found that there is a strong demand for a personalized data experience, real time alerts and self-management tools.
The survey also indicated the relationship users have with their data:
- 15% of those surveyed don’t know which data plan they have and 19% have no idea how much they are paying for it
- 52% of the respondents think their data speed is not quick enough
- 45% said they would pay more for better experience
- 37% think data is already expensive now
The survey further highlights that data users are ready to take advantage of a personalized data experience but expect a much better quality of experience in return.
