Amdocs is committed to doing business with socially and environmentally responsible suppliers. We work together with our suppliers to encourage compliance with the principles outlined in our human rights and labor practices statement.
The story so far
Suppliers must ensure that operations, products and services supplied to Amdocs comply with all local, national and other relevant laws and regulations. Engagements with suppliers include contractual commitments on the issues of labor, environmental and health and safety issues where applicable. Amdocs is also a member of the CDP supply chain initiative and requires key suppliers to report to CDP.
Amdocs believes in doing business with diverse vendors that bring new ideas and high-quality goods and services to our supply chain. Through a rigorous supplier diversity program, Amdocs ensures the procurement of supplies and services from business owned by minorities, women and disabled veterans.
By actively pursuing procurement opportunities with minority-owned businesses (MBE), women-owned businesses (WBE), and disabled veteran-owned businesses (DVBE), Amdocs benefits from the influx of new ideas and quality goods and services into our value chain, while helping small or disadvantaged companies to grow.
Planned activities for 2014 and future goals
We are now finalizing our Code of Ethical Purchasing, which will be fully integrated in all our agreements with our suppliers, and could be a cause for termination in cases where suppliers fail to adhere. In addition, in the coming months Amdocs will further enhance its supply chain management mechanism, by using a designated comprehensive tool for assessing our suppliers in all citizenship and sustainability applicable topics.
