- Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, today announced the go-live of a major transformation program at Globe Telecom, representing one of the largest and fastest transformations in the industry and a market-first in the Asia Pacific region due to the project’s complexity and scope. Globe Telecom is one of the largest service providers in the Philippines and a subsidiary of Ayala Corporation and the SingTel Group.
Acting as the prime systems integrator for this seven-year transformation and managed services engagement, Amdocs is responsible for the entire transformation and ongoing IT management and operations of Globe Telecom’s business support systems (BSS), business intelligence (BI), data warehouse (DW) and policy management systems, as well as legacy systems which are being gradually retired. As a result, Globe will be able to create a differentiated and consistent customer experience across all channels, shorten time to market for new offerings, drive service uptake and revenues, and reduce operational cost.
As part of this transformation program, Amdocs will manage and consolidate more than 200 legacy systems across all of Globe Telecom’s lines of business onto a single BSS platform to provide Globe with a 360-degree view of the customer, simplify business processes, offer bundled and innovative offers rapidly, as well as achieve operational efficiencies. Today’s go-live announcement marks a significant project milestone with the successful migration of Globe’s postpaid customers to the new BSS platform. Migration of prepaid customers will take place later this year.

As demonstration of Amdocs’ strategic commitment the Asia Pacific region, Amdocs recently opened a regional development center in Manila, Philippines combining world-class operations with local support and expertise for this and other managed services projects in the area. In a further development, Globe Telecom has also selected the Amdocs Policy Controller to monetize advanced data services. The Amdocs policy control solution will be integrated with the Amdocs BSS platform to support a range of use cases, including bandwidth management, fair-usage control, and bill-shock prevention. Amdocs Policy Controller will also enable the launch of innovative new services, such as data bundles across multiple lines of business and dynamic payment methods with variable spend limits, to enhance the customer experience and boost customer loyalty.
