In a TM Forum Digital Transformation World Series 2020 interview with Amdocs cVidya CTO Gadi Solotorevsky, Karimov explains why Rogers became one of the first service providers in the industry to successfully apply machine learning for fraud detection.

With the continuation of Covid, Karimov notes that customers are receiving increased phishing attempts, as more transactions are pushed to digital channels and fraudsters have more time and more opportunities to seek out service provider loopholes and exploit them.

“Unfortunately, some customers are giving away their information, meaning that fraudsters have access to customer information and credentials… we thought it’s going to be really hard to combat this with traditional rules-based solutions.”
