The Carbon Disclosure Project recognizes Amdocs as a sustainability leader

March 2021 - Global not-for-profit organization Carbon Disclosure Project has recognized Amdocs as one of the highest-ranking companies on its Supplier Engagement Leaderboard, awarding Amdocs with an A score in 2020 for Amdocs’ supply chain program.

What is the CDP and why is it important?

Each year, the CDP evaluates how corporate respondents to their detailed questionnaire are encouraging sustainability throughout their value chain, and then calculates their Supplier Engagement Rating accordingly. CDP’s annual environmental disclosure and scoring process is widely considered to be a gold standard of corporate environmental transparency.

Amdocs’ inclusion on this list and high score demonstrate how Amdocs has been proactively working with its suppliers to ensure that environment and climate-related issues are present in every part of its value chain, enforced by Amdocs’ Supplier Code of Conduct.

Amdocs’ efforts to build a sustainable supply chain is part of its commitment to provide safe and healthy work environments, ensure sustainable operations, and positively influence our business partners to improve their social and environmental performance.

CDP also recognizes Amdocs as a leader in environmental management

Amdocs aims to minimize any negative environmental impact of its operations and is committed to minimizing pollution by reducing greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions – we calculate and report GHG emissions, covering over 96% of our business operations, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions – these are verified by a third-party independent auditor.

Amdocs has been consistently reporting and improving its performance since 2011 which is reflected in the fact that last year CDP also awarded Amdocs an A- score (above average) for environmental management, including GHG emissions, positioning us as a leading company in this area.

• GOLD rating for Amdocs from EcoVadis! One of the world’s most trusted business sustainability ratings, EcoVadis carries out detailed assessments on companies’ on environmental, social, and ethical performance,. In 2020, Amdocs received the GOLD Rating standard at EcoVadis, and 94th percentile, which means our score is higher or equal to the score of 94 percent
   
• Amdocs leads in ESG (Environmental Social & Governance) - In addition, Amdocs’ commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility has earned Amdocs a place on the prestigious S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for North America for the second consecutive year. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices ("DJSI") are considered among the most important global indicators of sustainability leadership, evaluating public companies on environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors relevant to their industry. The Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index represents the top 20% of the largest 600 North American companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index (BMI) based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria.
   
• Commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative - Amdocs has decided to take a step further and has reduction targets for greenhouse gas emissions from Amdocs’s operations through the Science Based Targets initiative. The targets are consistent with reductions required to keep warming to 1.5°C, the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement.
   
• Meeting International standards for a safe & healthy work environment - Amdocs strives to ensure that every employee enjoys a safe and healthy work environment, and that our operations are conducted in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. This is achieved by adopting, implementing and continuously improving a Global Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System according to the International Standards ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
