Despite the outbreak of coronavirus and the move to working from home, Amdocs has successfully completed almost 50 deployments over the past two months.

This is no trivial matter, said CEO Shuky Sheffer on the company’s second quarter earnings call last week. “We successfully completed an incredible 20 go-lives in March, another 26 in April, using new methodologies, best-in-class practices and various collaboration and deployment tools to meet the required project goals.”

For example, hundreds of people from all over the world deployed the entire Amdocs customer experience suite on AWS Cloud in a DevOps delivery model for a leading content and consumer company in Southeast Asia. This project, part of a data transformation Amdocs is supporting, was delivered on time with nearly all the Amdocs employees working securely and effectively from the remoteness of their homes.

At Cricket in North America, Amdocs provided remote operational and management assistant support to assist COVID-19 response, while in the UK, Amdocs expanded its managed services agreement with EE to implement secure remote digital engagement for its customers. This was delivered alongside Amdocs’ partner Lightico and enables EE’s customers to complete the sales cycle from the safety and comfort of their own home.

Additionally, with people staying home during the COVID-19 lockdown and using their broadband and TV services more, these past two months saw double-digit increases in activity at Virgin Media Store and Virgin Movies in the UK, supported by Vubiquity, an Amdocs company and part of the Amdocs Media division.

Furthermore, despite the challenges of the global pandemic, Amdocs led a multi-vendor effort to migrate large section of Vodafone Idea’s subscriber base in India in record time. At Axiata in Indonesia, Amdocs also delivered the first set of new capabilities as part of a multiyear managed digital transformation project.

As Ronen Levkovich, head of Amdocs Services, told employees last week, “We’ve become a reference worldwide as to how to work from home. People are calling us to understand the methodologies and tools involved.”
