How is business done post pandemic?
In this episode, host Matt Roberts of Amdocs sits down with his next three guests at the Las Vegas Convention Center MWC 2022.
“We say MWC, the place to do business – which is very true. I've been around for a long time. I mean, I've done the 2G, the 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G. There are there are several step changes. One to two is a huge step change when we moved to digital. Two to 3/4, we moved into the data era and 5G now is an immense opportunity for all of us. So you combine those opportunities with the place to do business coming together like this, and I couldn't be more excited. We love the facility. We love Las Vegas. So we'll see what the future holds.”
First, he speaks with GSMA CEO John Hoffman and GSMA CMO Lara Dewar. John and Lara explain how the company’s strategy has evolved since the pandemic, and how they are moving forward from a marketing and events perspective in a post-COVID world.
“I think you can't build relationships as well as you can unless you're in person. This show and this whole series is really all about getting business done and establishing trust and relationships that happen in person. And then on top of that, there are those serendipitous moments that happen because you're walking through a conference center, you wouldn't have thought of, that technology or that person. And so this is the central notion of bringing people together.”
Next, Matt speaks with Adam Schink, Head of Startup Scouting, Investment & Innovation at BT Americas. Adam shares more about what he does in his role at BT including building out their ecosystem in the U.S.
