How is IoT changing the world more than you realize?

In this episode, host Matt Roberts of Amdocs sits down with his next two guests at the Las Vegas Convention Center MWC 2022. First, Matt sits down with Bryan Lubel, EVP of Connected Health at KORE Wireless, for a discussion about the evolution of the health and wellness industry since the onset of the pandemic, and new technological innovations that are advancing the world of healthcare at record speed.

“Their focus is on making patients’ lives better, improving patients’ outcomes, helping them live with chronic diseases and have a more fulfilled life. And so that's where really their expertise is – it’s not how to have it IoT enabled or how to make the collection of critical data coming back to monitor for patients. That's not what they live and breathe for. So we try to become that subject matter expert and help them do that across the globe.”

Next, he speaks with Stephen Statler, SVP of Marketing at Wiliot. Stephen provides an overview of the work they’re doing at Wiliot, its use cases, and the innovative technologies it will enable in the future.

“We see ambient in two ways. One is ambient in terms of a power source. We don't have batteries. We're harvesting energy from ambient sources like the radio waves that surround us. We can harvest energy from phones from the telecommunications, from the cellular signals, as well as from the Bluetooth signals. So that's one half of ambient. It's getting power from everywhere, but the other half is putting intelligence everywhere, having starting to put these computer connections into every single thing so everything becomes connected. And that's going to take our industry from an industry of measure in billions to trillions."
