Today, Amdocs announced that Customer Experience Suite (CES2x), its cloud-native, microservices-based CX with state-of-the-art engagement capabilities, advanced 5G and IoT service design, delivery and monetization capabilities, and embedded AI / machine learning-based use cases, now supports Data-In-Use Encryption on top of Microsoft Azure Confidential Computing. This is done by using confidential computing enabled instances and Azure AKS (Managed Kubernetes) Clusters powered by AMD EPYC™ processors, ensuring that telecommunication companies can help protect their most sensitive data.
Confidential computing, using data-in-use encryption, is an ideal feature for those seeking to process sensitive data in the cloud. Data-in-use encryption provides customers hardware-backed protection for business-critical data. Confidential computing takes advantage of key security features offered by modern data center CPUs.
AMD EPYC processors support AMD Infinity Guard[i], an advanced security feature set that can help defend against internal and external threats, while keeping data safe. Amdocs CES2x is taking advantage of the secure encrypted virtualization (SEV) feature within AMD Infinity Guard. This feature provides real-time virtual machine memory encryption and strong memory integrity protection to help prevent malicious hypervisor-based attacks like data replay, memory re-mapping, and more, creating an isolated execution environment.
