“People all sort of reach out to neighboring communities and their citizens to try and have these sort of meet ups and in order to teach them about First Nations culture and the damage that was done by the residential school programs. And where we want to go in the future and to show that while we might be hurt, we're not angry or hateful. We want to work together with our fellow Canadians to make a better future.”

How can we work together to make a better future for Canada?
On this episode of the Great Indoors, Matt sits down with guests Elijah LaBillois, a young man from the Ugpi’Ganjig First Nation on the North Shore of New Brunswick, and Gaby Israel, SVP of Customer Business Executive (CBE) at Amdocs.
Elijah and Gaby discuss the work they are doing with reBOOT Canada, a non-profit organization that provides laptops and technical assistance to the youth of indigenous communities across Canada. Gaby explains why he’s decided to trek to Everest Base Camp later this month to raise funds for reBOOT Canada, discussing some of his past experiences climbing Mount Kilimanjaro as well as his passion for photography. Matt and his guests explore why it’s so important that we bridge the digital divide in indigenous communities, and how organizations like reBOOT Canada are helping to accomplish this task.
