A leading North American tier one operator serving over a hundred and ten million subscribers was ready to take the leap into 5G and unlock all of its exciting benefits for themselves and their subscribers. Their challenge, rolling out over 75 thousand 5G sites in a multi vendor, multi technology environment within just a few months. Amdocs offered a comprehensive solution to define and automate the entire end to end deployment. In the first phase, the operators sought to gain valuable insights using Analyzer, part of Amdoc's industry leading drive test analytics suite by Actix. These insights were crucial in enabling a detailed evaluation of network equipment performance, optimizing network settings and the end user experience in the lead up to the initial cluster rollouts. After the initial cluster rollout phase, the solution scaled up to Amdocs' network optimization suite by Actix. This allowed the operator to apply the lessons learned from lab trials and initial site deployments enabling a fast and consistent approach to the nationwide network rollout and achieving the on time launch of voice over new radio. A key component of the rollout was assessing the millimeter wave spectrum, analyzing drive test data containing millimeter wave measurements to get a detailed understanding of coverage behavior under different RF conditions, insights that played a crucial role in validating antenna beamforming. Amdocs also introduced end to end automation, defining and streamlining the entire process and enabling field test engineers to quickly share on-site data with detailed KPI reports. Thanks to their collaboration with Amdocs, the operator was able to upgrade their network on time and wow their subscribers with amazing five g service experiences. Amdocs, make it amazing.
