Supporting the communities in which we work is part of Amdocs’ DNA. And in times like these, we’re even more committed to addressing the vital needs around us.

According to Idit Duvdevany Aronsohn, Head of Corporate Responsibility & Inclusion, “COVID-19 is deepening many challenges across the world, and we’re working to provide relief where we can.”

We’ve taken a close look at how we can continue supporting our communities – virtually – during these uncertain times. Here are some of the ways we’re giving back in North and Latin America:

Food donations: Food banks have become increasingly flooded with families who are struggling due to the restrictions put in place by COVID-19. This, unfortunately, means that donations are not currently enough to keep up with demand.

To help provide essential items, we donated 20,000 hot meals to food banks across the U.S. and more than 30,000 meals in Latin America.

Virtually, together: We’re supporting those who are juggling work and family, and not used to working from home. We built Virtually Together, a portal that provides a wide range of solutions for working from home, well-being and for parents at home with their kids.

Enabling remote learning: Schools are unlikely to open up anytime soon. Finding ways to keep kids engaged is especially critical, and remote-learning solutions have become essential in many districts.

We’ve donated over 100 laptops and counting to ensure children stay connected. Parents also have a dedicated page on our Virtually Together portal full of fun experiments, coding, cooking and more.

“It’s important to us to support the communities in which we work by placing a special emphasis on voluntary activities, especially in times like these,” said Aronsohn. “Disruption to our daily routine and the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 only strengthens our drive to do more.”
