Amdocs Routing Layer is a Diameter Routing Agent (DRA) that provides EPC control plane signaling connectivity and routing, and balances the load of charging, policy and authentication messages across groups of PCRF, OCS, HSS, or AAA clusters. By centralizing these signaling, routing and load-balancing tasks, the control plane can scale to meet the growth of EPC, LTE and IMS networks incrementally and cost-effectively. It can be deployed as a Front-End, Core or Edge DRA.
As a 5G Bridge solution , the ARL provides for 5G Core transition with a 4G based OCS.
