Amdocs SmartCity solution, in partnership with Juganu, enables CSPs to monetize their 5G networks by extending wireless coverage cost effectively, while providing municipalities, real estate enterprises, and other entities with value-add capabilities to help them improve decision making and operational efficiency

Our solution utilizes Juganu’s smart lighting technology combined with the CSPs 5G network to enable SmartCity use cases that are seamlessly integrated with the CSP's broader network coverage.

Amdocs provides the engineering services to design a solution that is tightly integrated into the CSP's existing network, to supervise and streamline the rollout of the solution, and to provide the management of the network connectivity and smart city services leveraging our single pane of glass.

The smart city platform’s real-time, 24x7 video and analytics feeds combined with Amdocs AI and Data analytics expertise, will enable key use cases such as traffic management, security monitoring, air quality measurement and energy savings.

We recently harnessed this foundation to create a proof of concept (PoC) for Philippines operator Globe Telecom. The purpose was to demonstrate an intelligent city lighting system that enhances energy efficiency and security, reduces operational costs and improves urban sustainability. It featured LED lighting, public Wi-Fi connectivity real time video streaming and IoT capabilities, supported by data analytics to analyse people and vehicles.
