A leading European tier 1 modernizes its inventory system to accelerate a massive network upgrade and prepare for 5G.
The challenge was to massively increase our customer’s wireless network capacity and coverage without adding staff or losing control of costs.
This was against a backdrop of an in-house planning system with rapidly rising costs and limited functionality.
The answer was a massive network rollout and backhaul modernization in record time. The in-house legacy planning system was replaced by Amdocs Resource Planner, with thousands of plans migrated to the new system.
As a result, the customer’s OSS group has been repositioned from cost center to profit center and their inventory ecosystem is ready for 5G deployment. It’s a success story worth reading in full.
