The Amdocs, AWS & Intel trifecta is launching a steadfast, scalable, and seamlessly integrated private network solution at MWC 2024 in Barcelona!
At this year’s Mobile World Congress, we are excited to showcase the capabilities of a 5G mobile private “Network in a Box”, where Amdocs integrated the Intel solutions, operating seamlessly on COTS hardware and with AWS Edge Infrastructure. Visitors to our booth will have the opportunity to explore our comprehensive private network setup, including the Intel FlexRAN-based Open RAN stack running on Intel Xeon servers integrated via ORAN 7.2 RUs, which provides low latency over-the-air communication, and insights into network design, deployment, and operations through Amdocs Single Pane of Glass.
We pride ourselves on bringing a wealth of experience in RF and IP designs for diverse network types – whether 5G or Wi-Fi – enabling us to facilitate rapid deployment. Meanwhile, in partnership with Intel, we accelerate the adoption of their software stack among future customers, empowering:
- MNOs/CSPs considering adopting an open ecosystem.
- Enterprises considering adopting an open architecture that supports Wi-Fi and 5G co-existence.
- O&Ms seeking to leverage Intel’s software stack as an enabling technology as part of another end-to-end solution.
Focusing on accelerating the adoption of private networks and Intel’s FlexRAN-based software stack provides scalability while ensuring steadfast and reliable service. Our comprehensive cloud-native solution includes Open RAN, 5G Core, and Wi-Fi authentication, along with Core and Management components, running on top of the Red Hat Open Shift CaaS/PaaS layer.
This setup ensures seamless integration with upper-layer microservices through a Common Integration Layer (CIL), which facilitates network evaluation processes. Amdocs, as a global system integrator, and an Intel Network Builder community member validates these stacks before these solutions reach our customers, a phase we call Pre-Staging services, to ease end customer deployments.
In addition, to monitor and orchestrate Intel’s stack, we have also developed a management layer that utilizes their APIs and draws from ORAN architecture's best practices. While currently, this management layer and user plane applications run on AWS edge infrastructure, looking ahead, we plan to migrate an even greater portion of Intel’s solution workloads to this environment.
Join us in Barcelona at Hall 3, Stand 3G10, to experience our innovative joint venture with an augmented reality journey through an ancient temple, symbolizing the bridging of past and future through technology.
We look forward to seeing you there!
