In Brazil how does technology enhance entertainment and sport?
In this episode, host Matt Roberts of Amdocs sits down with guests at Futurecom in São Paulo, Brazil. Futurecom is Brazil’s biggest telecom and technology show, bringing together some of the best and brightest in tech and communications.
In the inaugural episode, Matt sits down with TV host and personality Zeca Camargo, Brazil's first-ever MTV VJ, and now the host of Brazilian game show 1001 Questions.
“The more technology advances, the more we'll be able to share things, to get closer, to get exclusive views. I'm a very optimistic person about technology, it’s not like 'Oh, it’s going to kill this and that way of coverage and stuff'. No, it is just going to improve everything we experience and learn about entertainment.”
He’s also joined by Brazilian racing legend Max Wilson, who has competed at the highest level of motorsport and is now a TV pundit in Brazil, paying special interest to the role technology plays in motorsport evolution.
“Most of the things that you take from the motorsport industry, you can apply in road cars. For example, throttle, ABS system, traction control… they all started in motorsports, and then the road car industry put them on their road cars. So, a lot of things comes from the motorsports, mainly F1, which is the biggest laboratory as far as producing things that translate into road cars a few years later.”
Together with his guests, Matt will attempt to answer the big question: how does technology enhance entertainment and sport?
