How can we meet the challenge of assuring customer experience in the 5G era?
In this episode, host Matt Roberts of Amdocs sits down with his next guests at the Las Vegas Convention Center MWC 2022 for a discussion on the 5G revolution, creating a more autonomous network and much more.
“One is the cellular technology and one is the IT cloud technology all merging together into a huge revolution. And if the telco was always complex to manage, now it is strong on the cloud. There are many more moving parts. It's much harder to get control. Software has a lot of agility. You can run faster, but then you need much more sophisticated ways to control it. And this is exactly where we were trying to step in."
First, he sits down with Eyal Harari, CEO of Radcom, to discuss some of the challenges in delivering autonomy, given the complexity of 5G network architecture, as well as where the U.S. is stacking up currently in the global race to 5G.
“I think it's the end state of digitization nirvana, if you will. It's what the metaverse represents. And then obviously in that universe, you recreate some of the physics in the real world so you can do various things with it, like creating digital twins. You can also break the laws of physics in the metaverse and find new ways of doing things like connecting people with avatars over long distances because physical limits go away. So I think I think for me it is the natural end state.”
Next, he chats with Roy Chua, Founder and Principal at AvidThink, who shares some of the most interesting technological innovations he’s seen over the past 12 months, and his perspective on strategies for meeting the challenge of assuring customer experience in the 5G era.
